As some of you know, last year I joined a ballroom dancing class aptly named "Dancing with the Gaijins" (
gaijin means "foreigner" in Japanese). Anyway, after a year of attempting to keep on normal heels (I stepped out of them several times) I finally decided to order a gorgeous sparkly silver pair of actual dancing shoes. I don't know if they will improve my dancing skills, but they are pretty (and extra bonus -- they are perfect harp shoes, too!)
